Gaspard Lafalaise Jr & Thomonde.com® are so happy to announce The KOREKTHO 2nd Annual Fund-Raising Gala Dinner.

It is said that "Your attitude determines your altitude" – that’s how high you will climb.

I have been a member of KOREKTHO since its conception when I attended the first Thomonde meetings with my dad and my brothers. I became more active after I arrived in Boston several years ago. But, since the last two years, we have witnessed a re-energized team: KOREKTHO is re-inventing itself. En bon Français: “KOREKTHO ap take-off”!

Two years ago, Mr. Roland Cadichon became president of KOREKTHO. With him came new officers and additional members who rejuvenate the team. I have known Mr. Cadichon personally for his integrity, his honesty and humility. But, he is also well known as a native of Thomonde, a long time officer of KOREKTHO but most of all for his genuine love of his native land. He travels several times a year to Thomonde which gives him insider’s knowledge to the daily lives of the people of Thomonde. That’s not all! Last year, in addition to the regular semi-annual fund-raising parties, KOREKTHO organized its First Annual Fund-Raising Gala Dinner. It was a successful fundraiser and, an elegant social evening. The many participants had the opportunity to learn from the honorable guest speakers but also to socialize and take photos with them and their friends in a fun, familial and enjoyable atmosphere.

I think KOREKTHO got excited about building on that success!

They have all the reasons to be because many patrons raised their paddles to support KOREKTHO’s projects. And, their support is just a reminder how it is a true celebration of KOREKTHO’s impact in our community and in Thomonde. Are you still wondering what is KOREKTHO? What are their upcoming projects? You may never know if you miss. Last year, I’ve learned so much from the guest speakers and, I was so moved by the engagement of the supporters that I became so proud of my home land that I wanted to take-off with the next airplane to Thomonde. Because, when good things are happening, you do not want to be the last one to know.

After we took acknowledgment of their upcoming projects, we know that KOREKTHO is shooting for the stars. The dynamism of the new team is undeniably a strong sign that they are determined to succeed. But your commitment is invaluable. As you may anticipate, we already make a solid commitment to support KOREKTHO’s ongoing and upcoming projects. We urge you to do the same!

Premier Gala Annuel de KOREKTHO - Dimanche 6 Juillet 2008

Le Dimanche 6 Juillet 2008, un important évènement a eu lieu a Boston, Massachusetts (USA) (dans les banlieux de Randolph). KOREKTHO - 'Komite Relevman Komin Thomonde' - a organise son premier Gala Annuel. Et ça été bien passé! Les ceremonies commencèrent a 7 heures du soir a Lombardo's Grand Ballroom. Le theme de cette soiree parait-il etait: "THOMONDE: Tous ensemble pour un nouveau départ". Ce theme est aussi le titre d'une video production et film documentaire que l'assemblee s'est bien amusee a voir pendant le deroulement des ceremonies. Une copie de cette video documentaire - Realise par l'organisation 'Cabral Developpement' sera bientot disponible sur le site web officiel de la ville de Thomonde: Thomonde.com.
L'assemblée est surtout composée de la diaspora Thomondoise vivant a Massachusetts USA. Cependant, nous avons aussi remarque la presence de ceux venant de partout ailleurs des autres etats des USA et quelques uns d'Haiti même; et celle de Monsieur Emile Bernadeau - aspirant au post de Sénateur du Plateau Central d'Haiti pour les elections de 2010.
Les fetes ont debutees avec une priere au Grand Seigneur Createur de l'Univers, suivie d'une presentation du president en fonction de KOREKTHO: M. Roland Cadichon qui avait un sommaire de l'organisation. Il a presente ses mots de bienvenue a l'assistance et aux invites de marque presents. Ensuite il fait une presentation detaillee avec l'histoire de la Corectho et ses projets a court et long terms.
Jean Claude Baptiste avait pris la parole avec les mots appropriés pour présenter "youn gwo gason konsekan": Monsieur Sylvain Lafalaise que les thomondois intimement appellent "Ti Chans".
Monsieur Sylvain Lafalaise: Thomondois, professeur, economist, fiscaliste et Secretaire d'Etat d'Haiti aux Finances et invite d'honeur pour la circonstance - a fait une presentation extraordinaire de la ville de Thomonde. Sa presentation a ete tres soigneusement preparee et etait parfaitement illustree avec une projection multimedia et des videos documentaires de la ville de Thomonde. - dont nous avons parlé plus haut. Nous en parlerons d'avantage bientot.
Apres quelques remarques de M. Pierre Sterlin, CEO de l'organisation, Maitre Hermane Florent a ete introduit our sa presentation. Maitre Hermane Florent est né a Thomonde, Haiti. Il est un avocat, ecrivain, professeur et directeur/proprietaire du College Freres Adrien du Sacre-Coeur de Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Maitre Florent a tenu l'assemblee en reveil pendant un bon bout de temps. Le temps semblait trop court pour lui et pour l'assistance. Mais, il a pu delivrer un message prochain qui touchait tout un chacun, y compris les thomondois de la diaspora present et ses enciens eleves du college Frères Adrien. Nous aurrons beaucoup plus a en dire dans une prochaine occasion.
Il y a beaucoup plus a dire et des photos aussi bien que des videos de cette superbe soiree. Nous travaillons avec notre equipe et avec les autres organisations concernees aussi bien qu'avec les organisateurs eux-memes pour aider a vivre un peu de ce qui c'est passee.
